Cora A. Murray

Cora A Murray is a pen name I devised from the love of two great women, my mother and my oldest sister, who may no longer be with us, but will reside in my heart forever.

I’m a mother of two adult sons and the grandmother of a handsome grandson and two beautiful granddaughters. I have been married for the past thirty-six years to the same wonderful man. I’ve always been an avid reader and with a push from my best friend I decided to start writing. First came shifters, then zombies, and now I’m on to many different topics . Who knows what’s next, I have so many worlds left to conquer.

Interview with Cora A. Murray

Did you always want to be a writer?

I think from the moment I started reading I wanted to write down the crazy stories and ideas in my head, my nieces, nephews, children, and grandchildren all listen to my ghost stories repeatedly, one day I will get those all written down.

What is the craziest thing you’ve search for on Google while researching a book?

Why do zombies eat brains? Seriously, I have written a couple dystopian books and this is an important issue. Lol.

What book of YOURS is your favorite?

Surviving Earth: Makayla’s Journey. Why, I love Mak’s fighting spirit, she keeps a band of people together with just her grit and of course her heart and she’s so young.

What is your all-time favorite book by another author?

Not sure I can chose just one, if I can chose a series I’d have to go with The Captive Series by Erica Stevens. It gripped my heart from beginning to end and to this day I still reread the series a lot.

What has been your coolest moment as an author?

I think maybe it has to be when my sister started reading my books, she totally fangirled over me and I loved it. Her favorite is Surviving Earth: Makayla’s Journey.
