I live in Bonnie Scotland, spending time with my family, pets, and writing, and dreaming of the next time I can get away from the cold weather to some sunshine. I hate rain (which is most days in Scotland) and I absolutely loathe snow … hence the dreaming of my next vacay! When I’m not thinking of flying away on holiday, I’m writing … everything from hot Alpha Shifters, smoking Vampires, Dragons, Angels and everything else my imagination can come up with.
I have a weakness for chocolate (who hasn’t!) and have been known to scavenge for my favorite delights in moments of weakness! My writing companions, who keep me company every day, are Luna, my German Shepherd who’s more than a little nuts, and Jinx, a black Lab who is very lazy. I’d be lost without them, even when they interrupt me, sometimes at the most inopportune times!
I took up writing later in life and I’m always thinking of the next story to indulge myself in and keeping busy, including setting up a small publishing company with my bestie, Bella. There’s just not enough hours in the day to do all I want to, but I give it a good go as I want to cram everything I possibly can into this life … you only get one chance at it and I’m going to do my best to do all I want to and do it as well as I can. And when I get to the end of the day and I’m tired I can look back and say … we got through it and we did it with grit, determination and a good dash of panache!

Tell us about your Story in Dark Moon Falls 1
I absolutely loved writing Jagger and Storm’s story! I obviously don’t want to give any spoilers … but Jagger has no idea what’s in store for him when he runs into Storm and she’s absolutely clueless about wolves so that adds to their problems. There’s a lot of danger in the mix and that ramps up the tension which I think adds to the story. Feedback from readers for the entire set has been so positive and I’m so happy about that, it makes me proud and I can’t wait for them to meet the new characters in Dark Moon Falls 2!
What book do you wish you had written?
Oh, that’s easy … the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin … better known as Game of Thrones! I absolutely love it and, boy oh boy, who wouldn’t want to have written those? I mean, they are fabulous, aren’t they? And not to mention, he’s freaking rich as get out now… right? It’s a dream come true for any author, but mainly it’s because of the amazing stories he created, and the characters? Damn! Those characters are amazing … and the twists and turns in the stories are out of this world! An amazing set of books.
What book of YOURS is your favorite?
This is asked of me all the time and it’s extremely hard to answer, because I find my head is usually focused on what I’m writing at that moment in time. However, I do love my Warrior of Darkness series, and the characters in it, so if I was really pressed to answer I’d pick Dark Hunter from that series as it introduces Lazarus and Ariana. They’re flung together, literally, with danger around every corner and I love how their characters react to each other and grow throughout the story and series.
If you could change one thing in history, what would be?
Hitler. This person caused so much pain and heartache it’s just too much to quantify. I know that, everyone knows that. But, it’s not just because of that … it’s because of what he did to literature in his country. The burning of books throughout the country and in Austria too, was an afront to every author, alive or dead, to this day, and kept his people from a basic human right … being able to read and get their hands on the ‘greats’ of their day. He suppressed that right by burning books and making it against the law for anyone to own these books, and god forbid, if they were caught with them … I know he did atrocious things, we know what he was capable of, but not everyone knows of the ‘book burnings’ and how he suppressed the right to read of his own people. It breaks my heart that so many died at his hands and it breaks my heart that young kids were denied the right to be read to by their parents because books were burned enmasse and it was illegal to own them because of his madness.
What is the craziest thing you’ve search for on Google while researching a book?
Not sure it’s the craziest, but it’s something I wouldn’t like the ‘law’ to find ha ha. How to immobilize someone with the tip of a knife, but still have them aware and able to still feel pain. Aye, I’ve done that … and which blade would be best to use in said application. It was for A Vampire’s Thirst: Flint. He’s a master with blades, and he was … well, I’m not going to tell you here lol! But yes, I had to research that, amongst a host of other weird and wonderful stuff. I’ve said many a time if the Police ever seized my PC, I’d be in big trouble! That’s the life of an author though. We research so many weird and wonderful things for our stories, murder, mayhem, and so much more, that our search histories are a plethora of bizarre histories that could look very well get us into trouble.
Did you always want to be a writer?
Nope, when I was young I wanted to be a Police Dog Handler. It was my dream … alas, in my youth in Scotland, they had a ‘height limit’ and as I’m barely five foot one, I didn’t meet it, so I couldn’t join the police force here. My hopes were dashed! I ended up working several jobs before joining the banking industry where I worked for quite some time prior to starting to write. However, once I started … I quickly realised I couldn’t stop and haven’t looked back since. I adore creating new characters and worlds to dive into and my brain just never stops, even if I wanted to, I couldn’t give it up now … but I have no plans to stop! I’ve just recently started a publishing company, Hot Box Publishing, with my ‘bestie’ Bella Roccaforte, and we’re very excited about it and all the things we have planned for the future … including boxsets in the Dark Moon Falls world we’ve created. Volume two of Dark Moon Falls is up for preorder and readers are loving volume one, which is absolutely fabulous. It’s amazing when we get feedback on stories, and they’re loving the boxset, which makes me very happy indeed.
